Our Client requires a Field Service Engineer with excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and a high degree of competence in repair and service of servers and desktop computers. You must have comprehensive technical grounding with experience and understanding of networking principles and the latest Microsoft server and desktop technologies. The role is diverse and will include complete multiple location network implementation projects. The engineers must be thorough and willing to constantly learn new skills in order to improve performance You must have a minimum of 3 years field maintenance experience and Microsoft MCSE qualification is required. Experience with Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003, SBS 2003, Active Directory and Office 2003 is essential. Their Clients have varying levels of technical competence and it is therefore crucial that engineers have a patient and amiable disposition and can demonstrate the ability to communicate in a simple, jargon free manner. They must be equally at home communicating with senior and director level clients and liaising with third party solution providers. Our Client is offering a salary between 20-28k p.a, plus company vehicle, overtime and standby pay, excellent company benefits and the security of a well established, growing business. Hours are generally 8.30-5.30 Monday to Friday, however a degree of flexibility is required.
