My client is looking for a Software Test Engineer who will need to have the following attributes: ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing qualification essential. A relevant degree and/or ISEB Intermediate or Practitioner Certificate in Software Testing . A comprehensive understanding of test techniques and how they are applied. Experience of testing within a software development house environment preferred. Financial software testing experience preferred. Must be results and task focused, be prepared to go beyond norm to achieve goals and consistently meets deadlines. Experience of the Rational Unified Process preferred. Exposure to various platforms and operating systems (UNIX, Linux, iSeries, zSeries, Windows, etc). Exposure to automated testing, particularly the IBM Rational Tool set. The objective of this role is to verify that all Companies Systems? products and tools properly provide their intended functionality and that they meet all quality standards, including: Following the test process, as highlighted in the Companies Systems Test Strategy, for all project testing activity. Actively suggest and implement test process and procedure improvements to the Test Manager. Ensure correct application of tools and utilities to support the Test process.
