Our client is looking for a Sales Office Assistant to join their team in Chichester, West Sussex. This position is a temporary to permanent role and after 13 weeks should both parties be satisfied then the role will become permanent. RESPONSIBLE TO: Export Sales and Marketing Manager MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To ensure that all customer returns are dealt with in an expedient and accurate manner and the appropriate support is provided to the Sales office as and when required. The successful candidate will: - Be happy to work 22 hours per week part time (candidates must work every day, latest start time 10 am) - Have office/administrative experience, preferably within a customer facing/sales environment. - Have a good level of numeracy and literacy would be required. SPECIFIC DUTIES 1. To promptly and accurately action all customer returns according to procedure. 2. To print off and file all quotations. 3. To maintain the Sales Order carousel. 4. To print off, log and file the Despatch Notes each day. 5. To open and close Sales Order files as and when required. 6. To work with the Sales Office Supervisor in ensuring that all of the Sales office files (customer order files, quotation files, etc) are kept up-to-date, tidy and accurate. 7. At all times maintain a professional and polite manner in all verbal and written communications with customers both internal and external. 8. To comply at all times with the Sales & Marketing procedure SM120. 9. To perform any other reasonable tasks as required by the Export Sales and Marketing Manager or the Sales Office Supervisor. Hourly rate: ?8.32 per hour Hours: 22 per week The 22 hours must be spread across everyday of the week. Start time flexible but probably with a latest time of 10am. Benefits once permanent: 25 days holiday - pro rata, stake holder pension scheme.
