Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge? Our new client is looking for a fully qualified Social Worker to join their Children and Families Asylum Team. You will have many duties, but your main responsibilities will include: ? Financial Assessments ? Dealing with new arrivals into the UK ? Computerised reports and payments ? Liaising with solicitors and the home office and other professionals ? Casework and case recording ? Home Visits ? Dealing with housing and education issues The average caseload in this team is currently around 5 at a time so it is definitely quality rather than quantity casework. The team consists of the Team Manager, a Senior Practitioner, three main-grade Social Workers and one Social Work Assistant. Our client asks for some one who is a good team player and is also prepared to roll up their sleeves and get on with things. You will need to hold a social work qualification and have present registration with the General Social Care Council, you will also be required to apply for a CRB disclosure. This is a contract position which will initially last 16 weeks however the manager has said that there is a possibility of an extension on this. The pay rate for this position has been set at ?23.00 per hour not including the various expenses.
